St. Vincent's Special Needs Services has a Mission that charges each of its employees with a very specific task in the health care ministry which is:
"to foster the physical, educational, spiritual,
emotional and social development
of persons with disabilities so they may
play, learn, work and live in the community."

Teen Aims to Raise Awareness About Epilepsy
Trumbull teen, Amanda Ferraro, who attends school at the Feroleto Children’s Development Center in town, has been holding a read-a-thon fundraiser throughout the month of November to raise money for the Epilepsy Foundation.

Most parents approach their child's 21st birthday with a sense of celebration for the exciting possibilities ahead and a dash of apprehension. But for the parents of severely disabled children, who lose many government-funded services at 21, it's a whole different story.
