The Ayer Neuroscience Institute Memory Care Center in Wethersfield is a specialized clinical practice dedicated to diagnosing and treating problems with thinking and memory. The Memory Care Center provides both diagnosis and continuing care after diagnosis.

The Memory Care Center is committed to the highest standards of respect and integrity, and we strive to offer the most professional and personalized care possible. Some of the conditions we treat are dementias, such as Alzheimer’s disease and Dementia with Lewy Bodies. We also help determine whether thinking problems are due to something other than dementia - like depression or anxiety.

We advocate for our patients’ interests. Our chief focus is on the needs of the patient and the care partner.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide world-class clinical care to people with cognitive and memory disorders.

Our Vision

Our vision is to provide a research-quality diagnostic evaluation followed by person-centered continuing care that is evidence-based and quality-focused.

Diversity & Non-Discrimination

The Memory Care Center appreciates the diversity of human beings and does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, ethnicity, culture, disability, age, sex, religion, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.

The Memory Care Center's Key Principles

Good dementia care is multifaceted and focuses on the psychosocial and medical needs equally.

People who come to the Memory Care Center for care are entitled to respect and dignity at all times.

There is no universal dementia playbook. The Memory Care Center recognizes that thinking and memory problems affect each person differently.

Care partners are not born. But they can be developed and nurtured about how to offer the best care to their loved one. The Memory Care Center's goal is to help them become an effective member of the care team.
