Spreading joy for neighbors in need

At the CRG-sponsored event at Windham Hospital, visitors were treated to chili, corn bread, beverages and desserts. Kids did crafts and had pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, while parents chose gifts, clothing and even holiday decorations to take home.
From a gourmet lunch for Neighborhood Health clients to holiday distributions sponsored by our LGBTQ+ Colleague Resource Group, we’re sharing the love and keeping our promise to improve health and healing for all.
Ashley Shattuck, Mike Snow and Tobi McDonald were party of the jolly crew from the LGBTQ+ CRG to distribute food, clothing and toys at Windham Hospital.
At Windham Hospital, adopted families picked up gifts, clothes and food, all donated by HHC colleagues.
At Windham Hospital, members of the public were also invited to choose from donations and gently used clothing in adult and child sizes, toys, shoes and household items.
A similar event will take place in Hartford this weekend.
The Neighborhood Health street medicine team hosted its annual holiday party in downtown Hartford. Clients enjoyed a hot meal catered by the Max Group, holiday music, a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus and a chance to pick up warm clothes.
