Hand Symposium May 5 in Hartford

The Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is hosting the 3rd annual Hand Symposium at the Hartford Hospital Ambulatory Surgery Building at the Bone & Joint Institute on Saturday, May 5, from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm. The symposium, targeted to Occupational Therapists, COTAs, Physical Therapists and PTAs, will feature presenters Dr. Kevin Burton and Dr. Christopher Judson, orthopedic surgeons from Orthopedic Associates of Hartford and Carol Cleveland, OTR/L, CHT and Eileen Lucas-Brooks, OTR/L, CHT from the Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network.
This year’s symposium will feature a combination of both lecture and lab to provide participants with an in depth understanding of the diagnoses that contribute to ulnar wrist pain and dysfunction. The featured speakers have collaborated to present a comprehensive program that will include a surgeon’s perspective on how to identify the diagnosis and determine conservative and surgical interventions while the certified hand therapists will provide an overview of provocative assessments along with treatment approaches for diagnoses, including TFCC and LT Instability.
Registration fees for the Symposium are $99 for OT/COTAs and PT/PTAs and $49 for students.
