November 05, 2019
Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH) has been awarded a $5,000 grant from Pink Aid to benefit the Hospital’s Pink Rose Breast Cancer Fund. Pink Aid is a charitable organization that helps to fund breast cancer support services for women in need.
Pink Aid’s mission is to help underserved local women survive breast cancer treatment with support and dignity, to provide screening to women in financial need and to empower breast cancer survivors to heal by helping and inspiring others. Pink Aid grants are awarded to recipients whose goals best advance Pink Aid’s Mission.
“This generous grant is a much needed contribution to this critical fund for women in Northwest Connecticut. We are extremely grateful for the support Pink Aid has provided to help local women facing the challenges of breast cancer.” said Tammy Rouleau, RN.
Since 1996, the Pink Rose Fund has provided community outreach, education, free early detection screenings, radiation therapy tops and post-surgical garments to women in Northwest Connecticut. The Pink Rose Program provides coordinated access to services related to breast cancer patients by offering one on one education and support by a certified Nurse Navigator.
