CHH Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group Holiday Gathering Dec. 3
November 27, 2019
Family and caregivers are invited to a holiday gathering of the CHH Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group on Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 3 to 5 pm at the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Hungerford Center Conference Room, 780 Litchfield Street in Torrington.
Group facilitators John Morthanos, Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation Ambassador and lung transplant recipient and Susan Murphy, CRT, of the CHH Pulmonary Rehabilitation Department invite you to join them for an end-of-the-year gathering and learn more about the group and its mission. CHH sponsors the free quarterly meetings designed for people who are currently experiencing Pulmonary Fibrosis and their families.
Each quarter, the support group offers accurate, up-to-date information about Pulmonary Fibrosis, including symptoms, management, forms of treatment, clinical trials and ongoing research. The group talks openly about the challenges of living with Pulmonary Fibrosis in a comfortable and safe environment where participants exchange ideas, compare experiences, and learn from others. It is also a place where mutual emotional support and empowerment is offered, and where people can develop relationships and friendships with others who have experienced similar situations.
The group is supported by the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation whose mission is to serve as the trusted resource for the pulmonary fibrosis community by raising awareness, providing disease education, and funding research.
