Windham Hospital to host Aug. 10 virtual public forum on childbirth services

Windham Hospital will host a virtual public meeting to discuss a proposal to suspend childbirth services, while detailing plans to enhance women’s health programs. The virtual meeting will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 10. Windham Hospital ranks last in the state for total number of births each year.
Windham Hospital leaders will discuss their proposal to discontinue childbirth services while outlining their strategy to enhance programs promoting women’s health services. Leaders will also discuss how community residents will access childbirth services in the future, the plan to continue prenatal and post-partum care and many other service enhancements.
