Hartford HealthCare to Provide Sports Medicine Services for Major League Soccer’s Toronto FC

Hartford HealthCare is the new healthcare provider for Toronto FC of Major League soccer as it completes the remainder of the MLS regular season at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford.
Due to travel restrictions in Canada,Toronto FC moved temporarily to Connecticut as part of the league’s plan to continue its season. The team has six home matches at Rentschler Field and four on the road to close out the regular season.
Physicians from Hartford HealthCare’s Sports Health team will support the players on the field while also providing access to a network of orthopedic surgeons, cardiologists, sports neurology and concussion experts from Hartford HealthCare’s Bone & Joint Institute. Hartford HealthCare will also provide the team with flu clinics as well as access to specialists in COVID-19 infection prevention and social distancing strategies.

Toronto FC will play upcoming games in East Hartford on Oct.14, 18, 28 and Nov 1. At this time, fans will not be allowed to attend.
